RusHydro, Japan’s NEDO to build wind power plant in Yakutia

KHABAROVSK, Sep 27 (PRIME) -- The government of the republic of Yakutia, power generating company RusHydro and Japan’s new energy technologies developer NEDO have signed a declaration of intention to construct a 1 megawatt wind power facility in the Arctic settlement of Tiksi, the Far East Development Ministry said on Wednesday.

It was reported earlier that NEDO is interested in testing wind technologies in severe weather conditions.

Three wind turbines are to be installed at the first stage of the project in 2017-2018.
